2023-24 TEAM TRYOUT INFO:


TEAM SELECTIONS

Any female, grades 9-11, is eligible for a position on the JV team. Females in grade 11 will not be placed on JV without speaking to a coach prior to placement.

Any female, grades 9-12, is eligible for a Varsity position.

All males are eligible for a Varsity position.
TRYOUT REQUIREMENTS
The following are suggestions for the 2023-2024 Varsity and JV Cheer seasons:
VARSITY LEVEL - FEMALES
STANDING TUMBLING (should not include beginning 'steps' into skills)

Standing back tuck*
*This will initially place you in the Varsity candidate category, but is not guaranteed -
Jumps to tuck (preferred)

Back-handspring tuck

RUNNING TUMBLING

STUNTING
You will tryout for one position, but may be asked/expected to transition to another position at the discretion of the coaching staff. *Your choice of tryout position does not solidify this position on the team. For example, you may tryout as a flyer, but be moved into a base position upon team placement.

VARSITY LEVEL - MALES
Males should be athletic and willing to learn. No previous experience or background with cheerleading is necessary. Some males trying out for the program have never cheered before.
